Grampian Mountains

One of the top three mountain ranges in Scotland, the Grampian Mountains tip the balance with magnificent Ben Nevis and the wildlife rich Cairngorms.
An area that is lightly populated, the rugged Grampian Mountain range is one of the top three largest ranges in Scotland. This is where to find the area’s ‘WOW factor’, the vertiginous tops of Ben Nevis and Ben Macdui. It comprises a heather clad scenery to take your breath away and one that is so vast it makes up half of Scotland’s total surface.
The Grampian Mountains stretch along the south west to north east Highland Boundary Fault line and encompass the area known as the Great Glen and not forgetting Lochaber Hills and the Cairngorms.
